2)i)It is a can opener by Cooks Choice. It is made mostly of metal. it has a few plastic parts. It is safe and hygienic. It cuts below the lid and thus cut lids have smooth surfaces it operates based on a gear system.
ii) some elderly may not have enough strength to turn the wheel to cut the can and thus would not be able to open the can.
iii) I would extend the turning wheel in order to reduce the amount of strength used to open the can
